Operating Room Tech / Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary Sterile Processing Technician, Sterile Processing, Ottumwa, Iowa. The position supports central sterile operations by preparing, processing, and maintaining surgical instruments and supplies for procedural areas. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to infection prevention standards, and participation in scheduled call coverage. Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Monday or Tuesday starts are available.
• Required Qualifications:
• 1–2+ years of sterile processing experience
• Sterile processing technician experience in a central sterile department
• Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult abuse
• Iowa SING background check, including criminal and child abuse components, must be cleared before starting
• All county and state background checks must be fully cleared before starting
• Ten-panel drug screening, including opiates
• Titers completed within the past 12 months for measles, mumps, and rubella; hepatitis B; varicella; and tuberculosis
• Additional Information:
• Supports central sterile operations for five operating rooms.
• Scrubs are provided.
• Call coverage is required on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
