Operating Room Tech / Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary Sterile Processing Technician, Sterile Processing Specialty. This position performs decontamination, processing, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instrumentation and medical equipment. The role also prepares case carts for surgical procedures and rotates among central sterile and distribution areas. Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with an 11:00 p.m. start time. Weekend coverage, on-call availability, and minor holiday coverage are required.
• Required Qualifications:
• Four to five years of experience in a hospital setting involving the sterilization, decontamination, processing, assembly, storage, and distribution of surgical instrumentation, supplies, devices, and equipment.
• Prior travel experience required.
• Required certification: CR-CST or CBSPD.
• Ability to operate OER washers, identify surgical instruments, and work while standing.
• Additional Information:
• Responsibilities include assembling case carts for surgical procedures.
• Rotation among central sterile processing and distribution areas is required.
• Duties include processing and sterilizing medical equipment and surgical instrumentation.
• The position supports emergency staffing requirements and operational coverage needs.
