Operating Room Tech / Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary Sterile Processing Technician, Sterile Processing Tech, Wausau, WI. The Sterile Processing Technician supports sterile processing operations by performing decontamination, instrument assembly, sterilization, and storage of patient-care instrumentation, equipment, and supplies. This 13-week assignment is scheduled to begin on 11/16/2026 and may include work in sterile operating room cores. Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift with variable hours, 8 hours per shift, and 40 hours per week. The assignment may include up to two on-call weekends and potential weekend rotation.
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma; minimum of 3 years of sterile processing experience; completion of at least one travel assignment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Sterile processing certification; graduation from a sterile processing program; associate degree or certificate.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include following department policies and procedures for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of patient-care instrumentation, equipment, and supplies. Duties may also include supporting sterile operating room cores and performing related sterile processing department activities.
