Operating Room Tech / Certified Operating Room Tech

Job Summary Certified Operating Room Tech position supporting surgical procedures in a clinical operating room setting. The role maintains sterile technique, ensures surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely, and assists with the preparation and care of surgical patients. Weekend, call, and holiday coverage is required. Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Tech certification; completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; prior travel experience; orthopedic experience; operating room scrubbing experience; Da Vinci experience; knowledge of cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of clinical operating room equipment and instrumentation.
• Schedule: Day shift from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week; weekend, call, and holiday coverage required.
• Additional Information: Functions under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and performs routine and delegated duties according to applicable standards and department policies. Performs technical scrub duties, responds efficiently to surgical situations, assists with departmental work, maintains a sterile surgical room, verifies that surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely, and assists surgeons during surgical procedures. May be asked to precept new staff. Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes when called in.
