EKG Technologist / Telemetry

Job Summary Telemetry position focused on advanced electrocardiogram monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and continuous assessment of patient status. The role identifies and responds to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, supports code response, troubleshoots monitoring equipment, and maintains accurate documentation and communication with the care team. • Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; active telemetry certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued within one (1) year by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Red Cross; dysrhythmia course; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; required skills as a Monitor Technician and Telemetry Technician; a minimum of two years of experience as a telemetry technician.
• Schedule: Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, every other weekend; 11.5-hour shifts; minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing electrocardiograms in multiple settings with proper electrode placement; analyzing electrocardiogram strips and arrhythmias; initiating codes and recording rhythms during codes; responding appropriately to monitor alarms; communicating clearly with the care team; entering and verifying orders; retrieving and reporting laboratory results; maintaining documentation according to current standards and organizational policies; and operating monitoring and medical equipment safely and correctly.
