Job Summary:

X-ray Technologist – Springfield, VA. This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray exams such as Chest (Port) and Routine exams, at a healthcare facility. The role requires expertise in both CT and X-ray modalities, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.

Job Details:

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - CT, ARRT - Radiography. Must have an active VA State license at the time of submittal.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred; 0 years required.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional responsibilities include performing CT studies such as Heads, Abdomen, Pelvic, Angio, and extremities, as well as X-ray procedures including Chest (Port) and Routine exams. Must have strong IV skills.
• Equipment: Utilizes EPIC EMR, Fuji PACS (preferred), GE CT units, Philips X-ray units.
• On-call/Holiday: Backup on-call 1 weekend per month, with 1 major and 1 minor holiday coverage preferred. On-call response time is approximately 45 minutes.
• Orientation: Floor-specific orientation provided.
• Notes: This position covers CT and X-ray services at the Springfield Healthplex only. No scheduled hospital-wide coverage.
• Additional: No IV team assigned, but strong IV skills are required.
• Shift expectations: 1900-0730, with every other weekend on-call and scheduled as needed.
