Internal Controls Specialist
Location: Boca Raton, FL, Global Security Operations Center Team: Internal Controls Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week Schedule: 8- or 10-hour shifts, rotating across days, nights, and weekends. One weekend day per week is mandatory.
About the Role The Internal Controls Specialist keeps our global security service portfolio contractually, financially, and operationally accurate. You will write the Statements of Work that define what we sell, verify that what we deliver matches what was approved, and make sure every case reaches Finance clean, complete, and ready to invoice.
This role sits at the intersection of Operations, Account Management, and Finance. You are a key control point: the person who ensures that what was sold, what was delivered, and what was billed all match.
What You'll Do
- Write client-facing SOWs from approved service requests, pricing, and scope definitions, so scope is clearly defined before any service is delivered.
- Validate completed services against signed SOWs before case closure, checking scope, rates, service dates, manpower, and deliverables.
- Manage the reconciliation pipeline by categorizing cases, tracking their status, and driving them to timely close-out with clear visibility for stakeholders.
- Investigate discrepancies between executed services and contract terms, and work with stakeholders to resolve gaps before they reach Finance.
- Ensure audit-ready documentation, including SOWs, approvals, service records, and vendor invoices, meets Finance submission and internal control standards.
- Partner across the business with Operations, Account Management, vendors, and Finance to support accurate handoffs and invoicing.
- Escalate issues early, such as scope creep, pricing deviations, or missing approvals, bringing leadership a clear recommendation with each one.
- Support audit readiness by maintaining compliance with financial controls and documentation standards.
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of experience in SOW creation, reconciliation, finance operations, contract administration, or operations support
- Strong attention to detail and a habit of checking service data against contractual terms
- Clear written and verbal communication, especially for resolving issues across teams
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage many cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with CRM, finance, or case management systems Preferred: Salesforce experience, and familiarity with audit or internal control frameworks. Required: Ability to work 40 hours per week on 8- or 10-hour shifts across days, nights, and weekends, including one mandatory weekend day each week.
What Success Looks Like
- SOWs are accurate and compliant, and they define scope before service delivery begins.
- Cases close against approved SOWs without rework or delay.
- Finance receives clean, audit-ready cases that support timely invoicing.
- Billing delays, corrections, and margin leakage decline across the portfolio.
Information Security
- Protect the data and systems of Crisis24 and its stakeholders by adhering to policies, reporting incidents and potential problems, completing regular training, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
