Seeking Motivated Crew Members for a Dynamic, Safety-Focused Team

Are you ready to launch your career with a company that champions your growth, values your expertise, and puts safety first every single day? Do you thrive in environments where teamwork, professionalism, and community matter as much as the quality of work you deliver? If you're searching for a role that blends the resources and stability of a large corporation with the supportive, tight-knit atmosphere of a small business, your next chapter starts here.

Why You’ll Love Working with Us

• Competitive Pay: Your compensation reflects your skills and experience, with pay rates tailored to recognize your unique talents and dedication.

• Comprehensive Benefits: Access quality health, dental, and vision insurance, a robust 401(k) plan for your future, and generous paid time off to rest and recharge.

• Safety Always Comes First: We maintain the highest safety standards, ensuring every employee returns home safely, every day.

• Career Advancement: We offer extensive training, mentorship, and clear career paths so you can keep growing with us.

• Inclusive Culture: We champion a workplace where every perspective matters and everyone’s voice is respected.

• Competitive Benefits: Enjoy health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, with additional perks for personal and professional wellbeing.

• Team Spirit: Our crews work hard and celebrate achievements together. You’ll join a community that supports, motivates, and recognizes your talents.

Your Impact and Responsibilities

As an Asphalt Crew Member, you are at the heart of our operations. You’ll work alongside skilled professionals to create safe, high-quality roads that keep people and commerce moving. Your responsibilities include:

• Championing Safety: Consistently adhere to all safety protocols and company policies. Use the correct tools, equipment, and protective gear to ensure a secure website for yourself and your crew.

• Supporting Your Team: Collaborate with managers and co-workers in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Communicate clearly, solve problems, and help maintain a positive team dynamic.

• Executing Project Tasks: Assist with shoveling, raking, and wheelbarrow operation. You’ll help signal operators, facilitate the movement of materials, and follow directions for each unique project or job site.

• Operating Tools & Equipment: You may be called upon to run small power tools (such as a jackhammer) and handle traffic control devices like signs, cones, and barricades.

• Material Handling: Lift, carry, and position construction materials, tools, and supplies for maximum efficiency and safety.

• Site Preparation: Dig, spread, and level construction materials to prepare and maintain job sites.

• Problem Reporting: Proactively communicate any concerns or issues to your manager to keep projects running smoothly.

• Adaptability: Take on other duties as assigned, embracing new tasks and challenges with a can-do attitude.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who brings energy, reliability, and a commitment to excellence every single day. If you’re ready for a role that’s both physically and mentally rewarding, we want to meet you!

• Safety-Focused: Must thrive in safety-sensitive environments and strictly follow all protective procedures.

• Team Player: Willingness to collaborate, assist, and support co-workers and supervisors in various duties.

• Travel & Flexibility: Willing and able to travel for work, sometimes staying away from home. Ready to tackle night shifts, weekends, overtime, and outdoor work in all weather conditions.

• Professional Attitude: Always display courtesy, respect, and professionalism to colleagues and the public.

• Punctual & Reliable: Arrive at work on time, prepared to take on the day’s challenges.

• Physical Readiness: Successfully pass a pre-employment “Fit for Work” physical, drug screening, and criminal background check. Demonstrate endurance in lifting, carrying, and manual labor tasks.

• Documentation: Able to provide valid I-9 documentation for employment eligibility.

• Driver Requirements: Complete safe driver training and maintain a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) with a good driving record that meets company standards.

• PPE Compliance: Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined by OSHA/MSHA and company policies.

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old due to the nature of the work environment.

Preferred Experience & Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required).

• Prior experience in the construction or paving field is a plus, but we welcome applications from motivated individuals eager to learn and grow.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

· Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.

· Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.

· Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.

· Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.

· Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.

· Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.

· Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

What Success Looks Like

When you join our team, your success will be measured by your commitment to safety, your teamwork, and your willingness to take on new responsibilities. The most successful crew members are those who show initiative, adaptability, and a strong work ethic - qualities we recognize and reward.
