Original job description

Credigy is looking for a Junior .NET Developer to join our IT team and help build the applications our business teams rely on every day. You’ll work directly with end users to understand how they work, then write the code that makes their processes faster, simpler, and more cost-effective. If you’re early in your development career, curious about how things work under the hood, and excited to grow your skills in modern cloud technologies, this role is for you.

Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship.

About the Role

As a Junior .NET Developer at Credigy, you will split your time between keeping our existing applications running smoothly and helping build new cloud-native solutions in Microsoft Azure. You’ll work alongside senior developers who will guide you through code reviews, technical discussions, and real production work, so you’ll learn quickly by doing. You’ll also work closely with business users: you’ll investigate the issues they report, explain how applications behave, and turn their feedback into improvements. Success in this role means becoming a trusted problem-solver who can trace an issue to its root cause and deliver a clean, tested fix.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate, reproduce, and troubleshoot application issues reported by business users, analyzing logs, SQL data, and application behavior to identify root causes.
Debug and fix defects across C#, .NET, JavaScript, and SQL code, working under the guidance of senior developers.
Develop enhancements for existing applications and contribute to building new cloud-native applications in Microsoft Azure.
Write and execute SQL scripts for approved production data corrections, and modify stored procedures and database objects as needed.
Own post-release validation for production deployments to confirm changes perform as expected.
Write unit tests and apply coding standards and development best practices through code reviews and technical discussions with senior developers.
Adopt modern development tools, cloud technologies, and AI-assisted development practices to work more efficiently and deliver higher-quality code.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

1–3 years of professional software development experience, including internships or equivalent project experience.
Hands-on experience with C#, .NET or ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Git.
Foundational understanding of REST APIs, object-oriented programming, relational databases, and debugging techniques.
Ability to read and work within existing codebases.
Experience writing basic SQL queries.

Preferred:

Experience with React, TypeScript, React Router, or Entity Framework Core.
Exposure to Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Azure SQL Database, Storage, API Management, Service Bus, Cache for Redis, or Application Insights.
Familiarity with GitHub Actions or Docker.
Experience with legacy .NET Framework applications, including ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC, or jQuery.
Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot or similar) as part of your daily workflow.
A bachelor’s degree, or progress toward one, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (not required; relevant practical experience is equally valued).

The Credigy Experience

Credigy offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage through Cigna - with Credigy covering a significant portion of premiums - plus STD, LTD, and basic life insurance at no cost to you. You’ll also have access to a 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, paid parental leave, volunteer time off through Credigy Cares, and a range of workplace perks designed to support how you work best - from a thoughtfully equipped office environment to the technology and tools that help you do your best work. Beyond the benefits, you’ll join a team recognized year-over-year as a Top Workplace nationally and in Atlanta, with a personalized Flex Werk program, real opportunities for career growth, a culture built around people who are bold, curious, and supportive, and the chance to grow your career building cloud-native applications alongside experienced developers.

A Note to Applicants

If this role excites you but you don’t check every box, we encourage you to apply. We value curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a collaborative spirit just as much as direct experience.

Where & How You’ll Work

This role is based at Credigy’s corporate headquarters in Norcross, GA. From day one, you’ll work with your manager to build a personalized flexibility arrangement through Credigy’s Flex Werk program - because we believe the best work happens when people have the support and autonomy to work in a way that works for them.

Founded in 2001, Credigy is a global specialty finance company with flexibility across the capital structure to acquire or finance a broad range of consumer assets. We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Bank of Canada (NBC) and our $9.1B+ portfolio represents 400+ deals and $32B+ in total investments life-to-date. We are the partner of choice when financial institutions face complex challenges and strategic changes. If you haven’t heard of us yet, we’re okay with that - we focus on serving our business partners, not making a name for ourselves.

We are proud of our people-first company culture that has been recognized year-over-year as a Top Workplace both in Atlanta and nationally. What matters to you, matters to us so we go beyond the usual benefits to offer meaningful perks that support professional growth, personal connection, and a life outside the office. Early in the hiring process, we partner with you on our innovative, personalized flexible work program to maximize compatibility between your needs and the business from day one. Our priority is hiring top talent and helping you create a career you love.

Credigy is a workplace that is free of discrimination and full of opportunity. We prioritize diversity, inclusion, and belonging, and we are dedicated to unbiased recruiting, hiring, and employment practices. Authenticity goes a long way at Credigy, and we get excited about the privilege of hiring people from diverse backgrounds. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and commit to ensuring all applicants and employees are considered based on their qualifications and merit, without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, citizenship, disability, pregnancy, or any other status protected by law. We expect each employee to support this policy in our daily operations and we do not tolerate discriminatory practices or harassment in any form. No matter how you identify, or what background or industry you come from, we welcome you and feel honored you are considering opportunities at Credigy.
