YOUTH SERVICES COORDINATOR

• Liaises with the Town Police Department, Department of Children and Families and the Governor’s Youth Prevention Partnership, facilitates trainings/mentoring/prevention programming for youth and families.
• Plans and implements community and summer programs, such as babysitting courses, safety classes, and youth mentoring.
• Represents the Town at Advisory Board meetings, serves as liaison between the department and outside youth service agencies and organizations.
• Facilitates back to school “Gearing up to Learn” and holiday programming for youth and their families, assists in Food Bank organization and other duties as assigned.
• Serves as the Youth Diversion Team Coordinator, conducts intakes, facilitates Youth Diversion Team meetings and restorative circles, performs diversion follow-up/case monitoring, coordinates with schools/police/agencies/board members/families to support youth involved in minor offenses/truancy/defiance of school rules/families with service needs; participate in community organizations meetings, completes assessments/data entry/documentation and reporting and serves as the YDT case manager or assigns an alternate CM.

37 Hours weekly. $31.81-$40.47 hourly with insurance. Salary level DOE. Full job description available under Attached Files.
