Mechanical Technician

Corvid's team supporting operations at White Sands Missile Range is looking to add an experienced technician to support a variety of tasks related to maintaining operations used to design, build, and test suborbital systems. Candidate will bring hands on experience and mechanical aptitude to support a diverse range of tasking. The position will join an existing team supporting our growing footprint at White Sands.

Tasking will include:

• Maintenance and installation of hydraulic cylinders, reciprocating pumps, and direction valves
• Fabricate & install flexible hydraulic hose, ridged hydraulic lines, and high-pressure fittings
• Maintain & operate manual travel systems (disassemble, repair, reinstall and test) used to support program

Requirements:

• Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
• Demonstrated experience working maintenance or assembly of mechanical systems (hydraulic, travel systems, vehicles, trailers, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience using basic hand shop tools to include impact wrenches, and torque wrenches
• Preferred candidate will have basic knowledge of trailer components including tow bars, steering components, A-Arms, changing 2-piece wheels, brake systems, etc.
• Experience maintaining or installing hydraulic systems is preferred
• Strong aptitude toward troubleshooting and solving challenges related to mechanical systems
