  • Process and oversee monthly invoices related to Risk Management programs and services.
  • Support acquisitions and dispositions by coordinating insurance and other Risk Management requirements.
  • Partner with Operations, Legal, Accounting, Procurement, and other teams to address risk-related matters and ensure consistent processes.
  • Provide guidance to associates and business partners on Risk Management requirements, processes, and documentation.

Claims Management

  • Manage third-party claims, including vendor damage and resident insurance-related matters, from initial reporting through resolution and recovery.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers, adjusters, vendors, residents, and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely claim resolution.

  • Evaluate Risk Management processes to identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce manual work, and improve consistency.
  • Develop standardized processes, templates, tools, and documentation that make Risk Management activities easier to manage and scale.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks and improve how information moves between Risk Management and business partners.
  • Partner with internal teams to improve systems and workflows supporting incident reporting, claims, insurance administration, and vendor compliance.
  • Establish controls and checkpoints that improve data quality, documentation, and accountability.
  • Identify bottlenecks and transition manual or individual-dependent activities into documented, repeatable processes.
  • Lead or support projects that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Risk Management function.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare recurring claims, incident, liability program, and other Risk Management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and monitor claims and incident data to support accurate, reliable reporting.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, recurring issues, potential loss drivers, and opportunities to reduce risk.
  • Translate Risk Management data into clear, actionable insights for department leadership and business partners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality, accessibility, and usefulness of Risk Management reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, insurance, business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in risk management, insurance, claims, or a related field, with demonstrated responsibility for managing operational processes and competing priorities.
  • Experience managing claims and working with insurance carriers, adjusters, vendors, and internal business partners preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating workflows and implementing process improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and accountability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data and reporting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and ongoing operational responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels.
  • Experience with process documentation, reporting, data management, and operational controls.
