Original job description

Continental Properties is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Data Management team at our home office in Menomonee Falls, WI.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll help Continental turn trusted data into decisions, whether through a Power BI dashboard, a governed dataset that business users can explore on their own, or a data product built to work with AI tools like Claude. You’ll partner with teams across the company to uncover insights, make data easier to find and understand, and ensure the numbers people rely on are accurate and consistent. This is a high-impact position that helps shape how Continental uses data to drive performance and growth. In this role, you will report to the Business Intelligence Analyst Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Power BI Development – Design, maintain, and troubleshoot Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets that follow best practices and meet business needs. Keep our team on the cutting edge by exploring new Power BI features and capabilities and bringing the best ones into our standards.
  • Self-Service Enablement: Contribute to reusable, governed datasets and data products that let business users answer their own questions. Promote awareness of available data and help teams find and correctly interpret it.
  • Data Analysis & Insights – Analyze data to uncover trends, anomalies, and key business drivers, providing actionable insights that inform decisions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Partner with business users to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and deliver reporting solutions. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and promote awareness of available reports across the organization.
  • Data Quality, Governance & AI Readiness– Validate and monitor data sources for accuracy and consistency, and help define and document business terms and metrics so they’re used consistently across reports and AI tools. Support Continental’s AI initiatives by helping validate that AI-generated answers match certified business definitions.
  • Continuous Improvement – Proactively identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency, data storytelling, and adoption. Be curious and take initiative to stay ahead of new developments in Power BI, analytics tooling, and AI, and to bring what you learn back to the team.

Skills for Success:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Business, Finance or similar quantitative field preferred
  • Experience: 2+ years in business intelligence, data analytics, or other analytical role
  • Strong experience developing reports and dashboards with an eye for creative, effective data visualization.
  • Experience using Power BI (strongly preferred), Tableau, Looker, or Qlik.
  • Experience or genuine interest in using AI tools, including Claude or Claude Code, to build data solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, including explaining data concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and an understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and structured/unstructured data. Experience with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse is a plus.
