Production Control Support Clerk

Consarc Corporation | Rancocas, New Jersey | Full-Time

Help Keep Advanced Manufacturing Moving.

Who We Are:

Every time you board an airplane, drive a car, use your smartphone, or benefit from modern medical technology, you rely on advanced materials engineered to perform under extraordinary conditions.

Many of those materials begin their journey in specialized melting and processing equipment designed and manufactured by Consarc. Since 1962, Consarc Corporation has developed vacuum melting, vacuum casting, remelting, and vacuum heating technology. Our equipment helps manufacturers produce the high-performance metals and alloys used in jet engines, aerospace components, medical implants, power generation equipment, and other products that people depend on every day.

Today, our work includes equipment for rare earth permanent magnets used in electric vehicles, wind turbines, and advanced electronics; specialized alloys for aerospace and defense applications; and advanced metal powders used in additive manufacturing. Consarc is part of the Inductotherm Group, a worldwide family of companies specializing in induction heating, melting, thermal processing, and advanced manufacturing equipment. This gives us the resources, technical expertise, and international reach of a global industrial organization while maintaining the hands-on environment of a specialized equipment manufacturer.

From our headquarters in Rancocas, New Jersey, we design and build custom-engineered systems for customers around the world. With strong demand for our products and a new manufacturing expansion underway, we’re investing in the people and capabilities needed for the next generation of Consarc technology.

Accurate manufacturing information helps our teams purchase the right parts and build equipment efficiently. If you enjoy detailed work, keeping information organized, and supporting a busy manufacturing team, Consarc offers that opportunity.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Production Control Support Clerk to process engineering bills of material (BOMs), maintain manufacturing data in our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, and support the release of engineering documents to production.

You will work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Production Control to ensure that part records, BOM structures, routings, and work orders accurately reflect approved engineering requirements.

This position focuses on accurate data processing, document preparation, and administrative support. You will follow established procedures, resolve routine discrepancies, and refer technical questions or issues affecting production to the appropriate personnel.

What You’ll Do

  • Process engineering BOMs, drawings, and approved engineering changes within the ERP system.
  • Create, update, and maintain part masters, BOM structures, routings, and related manufacturing data using approved information and established procedures.
  • Check records for accuracy and completeness, including part numbers, quantities, revisions, and supporting documentation.
  • Work with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production Control to resolve missing information and data discrepancies.
  • Generate, update, and distribute manufacturing work orders and supporting paperwork as directed.
  • Support the creation of purchasing requirements from approved engineering documents.
  • Maintain organized records of engineering releases, changes, and manufacturing documents.
  • Perform data entry and administrative tasks related to production planning and manufacturing support.
  • Work with minimal supervision after training, applying sound judgment to resolve routine issues and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Support improvements in BOM management, engineering release processing, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Two to four years of experience in manufacturing administrative support, production control support, ERP/MRP data processing, or a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of ERP or material requirements planning (MRP) software.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand basic drawing symbols, part descriptions, and bills of material.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with ERP/MRP software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Careful attention to detail and the ability to enter, review, and maintain data accurately.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, manage assigned tasks, and recognize when an issue requires assistance.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other departments.
  • Strong regard for product quality and accurate manufacturing documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be particularly valuable:

  • Jobscope ERP software.
  • Creating manufacturing work orders from engineering documents.
  • Creating purchasing requirements within an ERP/MRP system.
  • Maintaining part masters, BOMs, routings, and engineering revisions.
  • Working in or supporting a manufacturing shop floor environment.
  • Document control or engineering administrative support.

Candidates do not need prior experience with Consarc equipment or metallurgical processing. We value accuracy, dependable follow-through, and a willingness to learn our systems and manufacturing processes.
