Original job description

About the Role: Computers Unlimited is introducing a new product offering called TIMS Gaia - our AI platform built directly into the TIMS platform. As we prepare for a general rollout, we are looking for a TIMS Gaia Solutions Specialist to be the primary hands-on resource who gets new customers up and running, teaches them how to use the platform, and helps them get real value out of it. Job Summary: This is a customer-facing, product-focused role. Tasks include installing and configuring Gaia for new customers, training their teams, and coaching them on building the prompts, skills, reports, and dashboards that turn TIMS data into answers about their business. Success in this role comes from combining a solid understanding of the TIMS system and data with a genuine curiosity about AI and how it can help distributors run their operations better. This is an exempt position reporting to the assistant manager Bi Reporting/ACM Support.

What you’ll do:

Installation & Setup

  • Install and configure TIMS Gaia for customers when they sign up for the service, working alongside their IT teams.
  • Set up core Gaia components - Active Directory groups, data access policies, gates, plugins, API keys, and SkyGaia entitlements - so the platform is secure and correctly scoped from day one.
  • Validate that installations connect properly to the customer's TIMS environment, database, and documentation.

Training & Enablement

  • Train customer teams on Gaia's four core capabilities: chatting with their data and documentation, building RDL reports and live dashboards, interacting with the TIMS APIs (TBD), and creating custom skills.
  • Deliver clear, role-appropriate guidance for business users, operations teams, and IT administrators.
  • Help administrators understand the Admin Portal - security, system configuration, and monitoring - so they can govern the platform confidently.

Ongoing Support & Adoption

  • Help customers write effective prompts that produce accurate, useful answers about their operations, flows, and metrics.
  • Assist with developing and refining custom skills that capture each site's institutional knowledge (their tables, terminology, and business definitions).
  • Build TIMS Gaia skills, as well as skills tailored to specific customer requirements.
  • Build and support RDL reports and dashboards sourced from the TIMS database on customers' behalf, and coach them to do the same.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for questions, troubleshooting, and best practices as customers grow their use of Gaia.
  • Assist with the annual user’s group conference. Will attend/participate and may present and/or assist with development of presentations.

Required skills & abilities:

  • All Computers Unlimited employees are expected to treat others with respect, maintain good relationships with employees and customers, and uphold high ethical standards of honesty, integrity, and reliability. Employees are expected to follow security and confidentiality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to rapidly evolving technology, with a willingness to continuously develop expertise as AI capabilities, best practices, and customer use cases change.
  • Working knowledge of the TIMS system, with particular familiarity with the TIMS database - its tables, structure, and the operational data they hold (customers/patients, cylinders, sales, intake, inventory, delivery/route activity, billing, etc.).
  • Experience building or working with RDL reports and/or dashboards against a database.
  • A genuine interest in and understanding of AI - specifically how it can help people ask and answer questions about business operations, workflows, and metrics without writing code.
  • Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both business and IT audiences.
  • Comfort working directly with customers across varied site configurations and needs, with the listening and questioning skills to uncover the real problem a customer is trying to solve and determine how best to apply AI to their business needs.

Preferred/Nice to have skills & abilities:

  • Background in the industrial gas and medical industry, or exposure to distributor and HME provider operations (cylinder management, fill plant operations, demurrage, contract pricing, hardgoods, patient intake, claim processing).
  • Familiarity with SQL concepts at a read/query level (this role does not require writing production code).
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Windows authentication, and basic data governance concepts.
  • Exposure to AI assistants or chat-based tools (e.g., Claude Desktop, Microsoft Copilot) and prompt writing.

Education:

  • Degree in computer science, business or related degree is preferred. Equivalent related work experience may substitute.

Travel/Working Conditions This position will be in office at our Billings, Montana location due to the collaborative approach needed in the initial stages. At the discretion of the manager, the duties may also be performed fully remote from within one of the states we operate, or hybrid. Individuals may need to travel to customer sites on occasion. This job description is intended to convey the general scope of the major duties and responsibilities for this position. Other tasks not listed here may be assigned by the supervisor. Periodic review and revision may be necessary to reflect changes in expectations.
