Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Lead engineering support for cloud operations, enterprise systems, and hybrid-cloud services, and architect secure, high-availability, fault-tolerant cloud solutions aligned with USMEPCOM mission requirements.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and secure connectivity among cloud, on-premises, DISA-hosted, continuity, and remote environments.

Lead preparation and execution of installations, upgrades, migrations, component refreshes, and deployments, including implementation, test, and rollback plans.
Ensure cloud and system components are recorded in asset, configuration, and lifecycle repositories, and support refresh, disposition, and inventory validation.
Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code for provisioning, configuration, deployment, and monitoring using Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
Integrate cloud capabilities with VMware, software-defined data-center, COOP, and on-premises environments, and design backup, disaster-recovery, and continuity capabilities.
Evaluate requirements, estimate costs, and prepare concepts of operations, architecture documents, engineering designs, and service-design packages.
Support implementation of DISA STIGs, DoD security controls, IAVAs, CND Directives, and RMF requirements, and coordinate escalation with AWS, DISA, and vendors.
Maintain architecture diagrams, configurations, certificate and API records, and SOPs, and mentor cloud engineers, systems engineers, and administrators.
