We’d love to meet you! Animal Hospital of Dauphin County is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! We are an AAHA-accredited animal hospital offering a unique mix of general practice, urgent care, exotic animal care, and specialty services. No two days are alike, and our team is passionate about providing excellent care to our patients and outstanding service to their families. Position Details

• Position: Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist
• Location: Hershey, PA area
• Schedule: Full-time hours, with availability for rotating shifts and occasional weekends as needed
• Experience: Customer service experience preferred; veterinary experience is not required
• Training: Comprehensive on-the-job training provided for veterinary medical knowledge and hospital procedures

What You’ll Do

• Welcome clients and their pets with a warm, professional attitude.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist clients with questions.
• Check patients in and out while helping maintain an organized front desk.
• Communicate with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to support smooth patient visits.
• Assist with medical records, client information, and payment processing.
• Provide appointment instructions and direct medical questions to the appropriate team member.
• Offer compassionate support to clients during both routine visits and difficult moments.

What We’re Looking For

• Customer service experience preferred - experience in reception, retail, hospitality, or a similar role is a plus!
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help people and their pets.
• Ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Dependability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Comfort using computers and learning new software.
• Veterinary experience is a bonus, but not required!
