Service Dispatcher HVAC Pay: $25$28 per hour, based on experienceSchedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 a.m.3:30 p.m. (occasionally until 4:00 p.m.); overtime may be requiredExperience level: Experienced; HVAC or plumbing service-dispatch experience preferredReports to: Service Manager or Office Manager ## Job descriptionComfort Workforce Solutions is seeking an organized, customer-focused Service Dispatcher to coordinate HVAC technicians daily schedules and support efficient service operations. The dispatcher will receive service requests, create and assign work orders, communicate with customers and technicians, and maintain accurate service records.Candidates with HVAC or plumbing dispatch experience and familiarity with service dispatch software are strongly preferred. Applicants must have reliable transportation and be available to interview and start soon. ## Responsibilities * Answer incoming customer calls and create work orders. * Schedule and coordinate service calls based on priority, technician availability, service area, and route efficiency. * Dispatch technicians and communicate job details, schedule changes, and customer updates. * Maintain the dispatch board and forecast workload several days ahead. * Schedule preventive-maintenance visits and prepare maintenance agreement proposals. * Enter new maintenance agreements and generate seasonal PM work orders. * Assist with billing and purchasing tasks, including gathering parts information and coordinating with vendors. * Review service timecards for accuracy and support weekly workload reporting. * Maintain accurate customer, job, and equipment records. * Monitor technician communication and follow up on open or recommended work. * Provide administrative support to the service team as needed. * ## Qualifications * High school diploma or GED. * Two years of service dispatch or project-management experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * HVAC or plumbing service-dispatch experience strongly preferred. * Experience with dispatch software or comparable field-service management systems required. * Strong computer skills and attention to detail. * Excellent customer-service and communication skills. * General knowledge of the local service area and map-reading ability. * Ability to organize and prioritize multiple calls and changing schedules. * Reliable transportation. * Available to interview and begin work promptly. * OSHA 10 certification preferred.
