VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Salary Range $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
The City of Columbus is seeking an applicant to fill the position of Senior Accountant within the Department of Finance and Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating internal and external audits and will assist in implementing audit recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant preferred but not required. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a closely related field from an accredited institution; At least five (5) years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in local government or in the public sector; Knowledge of governmental accounting principles, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
