Welder

Columbus Brick, a division of General Shale Brick, Inc., is seeking a Welder for our facility in Columbus, MS. The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment in an automated industrial facility. Applicants should be proficient at diagnostics and repair to general mechanical equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing. Candidates must also be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment both independently and collaboratively with a team of maintenance professionals

Job Requirements

• Must be willing to work 9am - 9pm
• Welding Certificate is a bonus.

Experience:

• One year related industrial maintenance is required.
• General Fabrication
• Electrical
• Pneumatic
• Hydraulic
• Welding
• Use of Oxygen and Acetylene torches

Essential Duties:

• Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to safely correct them.
• Operate cutting torches and welding equipment.

Physical Demands:

Majority of the time is spent standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and bending. The candidate must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
