CTP is seeking an experienced System Engineer 3 to lead systems engineering efforts supporting scalable solutions across Linux server environments, containerized platforms, and NexGen architectures. This role focuses on translating user requirements, CONOPS, and system architectures into modern, data-driven mission capabilities leveraging GOTS products and Apache NiFi.

The ideal candidate brings extensive systems engineering experience with Linux environments, container technologies, distributed systems, and requirements development. You'll provide technical leadership across system design, architecture, integration, testing, and documentation while collaborating with Government stakeholders, cross-functional engineering teams, and program leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and allocate system and functional requirements across hardware, Linux servers, containerized platforms, and NiFi data flows, ensuring requirements are complete and traceable.
  • Design and evaluate NexGen system architectures leveraging GOTS products, container technologies, and enterprise server environments.
  • Derive and manage detailed technical requirements, ensuring they are verifiable, unambiguous, and aligned with mission and stakeholder needs.
  • Establish and maintain configuration and change management processes, including participation in Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and design reviews.
  • Lead the development and review of systems engineering documentation supporting Linux, container, and distributed system architectures.
  • Support system integration, verification, and validation across server-based and containerized environments, including implementation of security requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership across Integrated Product Teams to support the delivery of scalable, secure, and operationally effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with Government stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and program leadership to resolve technical challenges and maintain the integrity of engineering deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of Systems Engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope, including experience with Linux server environments, container technologies, GOTS product integration, and data flow tools such as Apache NiFi.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Systems Engineering efforts supporting modernized NexGen architectures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline; Five additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Linux server and containerized environments.
  • Experience with Apache NiFi and distributed data flows.
  • Experience integrating GOTS products within modernized system architectures.
  • Strong background in requirements development, allocation, management, and traceability.
  • Experience with system integration, verification, validation, and security requirements implementation.
  • Experience supporting CCBs, design reviews, and configuration/change management processes.

Why Join CTP?
