Original job description
Ready to do the most impactful work of your career? At Coinbase, we are uncompromising on our mission to increase economic freedom. The bar is high, the environment is intense, and we like it that way. This isn't a place for complacency, it’s a place to be pushed past your perceived limits. If you're ready to build the future of finance alongside people who refuse to settle for "good enough," you belong here. Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company. Expect to get together quarterly for intense in-person working sessions called “surges.” learn more about working at Coinbase.
When crypto moves between exchanges, regulators in most major markets require that customer information travels with the transaction - the same idea as a bank wire. That's the Travel Rule, and Coinbase built TRUST (Travel Rule Universal Solution Technology), the industry's leading Travel Rule network with 200+ member VASPs. As PM, you'll own the platform behind it and the consumer experience in front of it, and you'll grow TRUST as a global standard.
What you'll do:
- Drive TRUST network growth: sign new VASPs, expand asset and network support, and lead go-to-market to strengthen TRUST's position globally
- Own the end-to-end Travel Rule experience, from the platform APIs and backend infrastructure to the consumer flows that make compliance feel effortless
- Shape consumer experiences that make cross-exchange transfers feel easy, transparent, and trustworthy, even while regulatory data exchange happens behind the scenes
- Partner across product groups so teams that own their own front-end surfaces integrate cleanly with Travel Rule infrastructure
- Support global expansion by enabling new Coinbase entities and meeting jurisdiction-specific requirements across markets like the EU, UK, and India
- Strengthen TRUST's privacy and security posture to reinforce Coinbase's position as the most trusted platform in crypto
- Lead program health and stakeholder alignment across a complex, multi-team domain where you are the single-threaded owner
Required Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years of product management experience
- Business development and partnership mindset: you understand how to build a business, grow adoption, and form relationships that expand a platform's reach
- Experience building platform or API products that other teams integrate with
- Strong consumer product instincts, with care for an easy-to-use, trustworthy customer experience
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment across multiple stakeholders
- Experience with compliance, regulatory, or risk products in fintech or financial services
- Strong analytical skills, with experience defining success metrics across both platform health and user experience
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate regulatory requirements into clear product direction for engineers, designers, and executives
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
