About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout our manufacturing and recycling facility. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, clean, and organized working environment. The Groundskeeper will perform routine cleaning, waste removal, and basic facility upkeep in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Shift: 2nd, M-F 6PM-2:30AM | Location: San Antonio, TX

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks outdoors including removing litter and debris, cleaning spills.
• Conduct general warehouse and equipment cleanup at the end of each shift.
• Ensure the safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, or safety issues promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Assist in preparing the facility for inspections or audits by maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Support facility shutdowns or deep-cleaning operations as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support overall facility operations.
• Operating tools: blower, shovels, brooms, rolling cart.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
• Familiarity with required PPE, including hard hat, reflective vest, steel-toe boots, ear and eye protection, and utility gloves.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
• Experience operating tools: blower, shovels, brooms, rolling cart.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow written/verbal instructions.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Normal work environment is a recycling plant, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE. • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms

• Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
