Role Objective Machine Operator I's tend to basic line machinery and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation, following production/process specifications or instructions as documented and directed. This role monitors meters, gauges, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications, while performing all work in accordance with established safety and quality procedures. ** ** Essential Functions and Responsibilities · Expected to meet the daily production schedule. · Performs minor operation and changeover procedures and assists maintenance on major changeovers. · Verifies availability of required components, sub-assemblies and supplies at work station for upcoming and current orders. · Retrieve required components for production orders from staging area, back flush or Kanban. · Functions as part of production crew to load equipment with necessary production components such as (but not limited to) caps, bottles, film, pumps, labels and shippers. · Reconciles and returns remaining components to the locator after production runs. · Assists the Production Leader to perform quality checks such as weight checks, torque checks, visual inspection, accuracy of counts, skid tags, use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) charting (when applicable), and pallet patterns. · Maintains line and equipment within housekeeping and cleanliness guidelines. · Maintains operating records as required, including machine log, check lists, books and other company records for auditing purposes according to relevant standard operating procedures and work instructions. ·[ & ]{times="" new="" roman",="" times,="" serif"=""}
