Salary: $106.00 - $126.16 Days: 187 days per year (8 hrs per day)
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Nurse Aide or Certified Medical Assistant
- Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision, hearing, spinal, and Texas Risk Assessment for Type 2 Diabetes screenings (Must be obtained upon hire)
- Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (BLS) Certification
- One (1) year experience in health-related position, including contact with school-age children
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of basic first aid and cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop databases and do word processing
- Must be knowledgeable in the area of school nursing
- Must be able to communicate and work well with students, school staff and parents
- Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language
