Original job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the first go-to-market hire at an AI company, you will build the early enterprise sales motion and own both prospecting and closing. This hands-on individual contributor role combines business development and full-cycle sales, with customer insights feeding directly into product decisions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Identify the best-fit buyer personas and enterprise customer segments.
Build outbound campaigns from the ground up, including prospect lists, email sequences, and channel tests.
Experiment with sales channels and tactics, using results to decide what to continue or change.
Source and close deals, setting clear success criteria with customers for each pilot.
Independently scope and run proofs of concept through to a customer decision.
Learn how AI agents work with customers and relay their needs, feedback, and objections to the product team.
Manage a sales budget and take ownership of pipeline and closing targets.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

1 to 7 years of experience, with a record of personally sourcing and closing enterprise deals and consistently exceeding quota.
Experience independently running customer proofs of concept.
Ability to quickly understand a prospect's business model and financial metrics, and discuss relevant numbers early in the sales process.
Fluency with modern go-to-market tools and experience building custom sales workflows and automation.
Strong written communication for technical and financial stakeholders.
Resourcefulness in reaching decision-makers when standard outreach channels are not effective.
A data-driven, experimental approach to sales, plus resilience and a collaborative mindset.
Interest in how AI agents may change enterprise work. Startup, founder, or competitive athletics experience is relevant.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary: $80,000 to $120,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

LOCATION

On-site five days a week in San Francisco, California, United States.
