ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage construction technology team building AI systems that interpret construction plans and support faster, more efficient project workflows. You will focus on the intelligence layer, taking computer vision and machine learning prototypes from early research to dependable systems shaped by user feedback.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop computer vision, machine learning, and AI capabilities for construction plan understanding.
- Explore and apply current computer vision, large language model, and AI techniques to practical problems.
- Build and ship prototypes quickly, then improve them using user feedback.
- Contribute pragmatically to early product work beyond the core modeling challenges.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Hands-on applied computer vision and machine learning experience, including Python and deep learning.
- Experience taking an AI system from initial development through production deployment.
- Comfort working as an early-stage, 0-to-1 builder and taking on practical work outside a narrow modeling focus.
- Empathetic, candid communication skills and a growth-oriented approach to challenging problems.
- Genuine interest in using technology to make housing more affordable.
- Construction or social-impact experience is helpful, as is having built a product or project adopted or paid for by users.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $120,000 to $180,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
Full-time, on-site in San Francisco, California. Candidates must be able to work in the San Francisco office or relocate.
