ABOUT THE ROLE
As CTO and a founding team member at an early-stage AI company focused on agriculture, you will own technical vision and execution from the ground up. You will shape core architecture, deliver the first production systems, and help build the engineering team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design and own the architecture for core product systems.
- Build and deploy production systems using modern AI models and tooling.
- Hire and lead the initial engineering team, establishing technical standards and culture.
- Set shipping priorities and balance speed, quality, and scope.
- Partner with company leadership on technical strategy and execution.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2 to 8 years of hands-on experience building and shipping products with modern AI models and tooling.
- Experience deploying production systems using current AI models and frameworks.
- Strong systems architecture skills, including architecting systems from inception.
- Experience building or leading early-stage engineering teams and owning end-to-end technical decisions.
- Working knowledge of Python, TypeScript, and PyTorch.
- A collaborative, hands-on approach and interest in applying AI to agriculture.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$250,000 annual base salary and 5% equity. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
On-site in San Francisco, California, six days per week. Relocation support is available.
