Original job description

Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Center Management Associates is looking for a highly organized, resourceful, and dependable Administrative Assistant to join the corporate office of our multi-location childcare organization. This is an in-person, part-time position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role.

This is not a position with the same checklist every day. We are looking for someone who is comfortable wearing many hats, can take general directions and run with them, and enjoys problem solving.

Responsibilities May Include:

Placing and tracking order and returns

Organizing and compiling data and information

Researching vendors, products, services, and new initiatives

Gathering quotes and informally presenting options to corporate team members

Drafting company-wide memos and other written materials

Communicating with vendors and internal team members

Assisting with projects and day-to-day operational needs

Follow up on outstanding items and keep projects moving forward

How We Work

Our team works collaboratively. You may independently research a project, gather quotes or options, and organize your findings, but you should also be comfortable presenting that information, contributing your thoughts and ideas, and adjusting based on the teams discussion. From there you may need to go back to the drawing board, hand the project off to someone else or take responsibility for seeing it through.

What Were Looking For:

Previous administrative, operations, assistant, or similar experience is required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organization and time management skills

Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable working independently

Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt when priorities change

Strong judgement and follow-through

Comfortable with technology, spreadsheets, documents, and learning new systems

Schedule & Location - Expected hours: 15.0 22.0 per week

This position will begin part-time and in person, with flexibility in the number of days and hours worked. As the individual becomes more established in the role, there may be opportunity for some hybrid flexibility.

There is also potential for the position to grow into a full-time role based on performance, fit, and needs.
