Industrial Engineer

Industrial Engineer, $82,618/year Full time in New York, NY Job Duties:Analyze and improve manufacturing and production processes across the companys global textile manufacturing partners to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality; Design and optimize production workflows and manufacturing processes for textile products, including bedding, curtains, towels, and related home goods; Apply industrial engineering principles, including Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing and process improvement methodologies, to reduce waste, improve operational efficiency, and ensure consistent product quality; Conduct production planning and capacity analysis, including evaluating production schedules and supporting demand forecasting to meet business needs; Perform time and motion studies to develop standardized operating procedures and improve production efficiency; Collect and analyze operational data using ERP or similar systems to monitor performance metrics and support data-driven decision-making; Identify cost reduction opportunities, including improving material utilization, minimizing production waste, and enhancing overall process efficiency; Support quality assurance efforts by analyzing production issues and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with company and industry standards; Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sourcing, and logistics, to improve manufacturing processes and support overall business operations. Job requirements: Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, plus 2 years of experience involving industrial operations, industrial manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma implementation, supplier performance management, quality control and process improvement, technical data analysis, process capability analysis, and project management.
