IT & Health Informatics Leader

We are looking for an experienced leader to join our Information Technology (IT) and Health Informatics team.

In this position you will be responsible for strategic oversight, governance, and organizational alignment across Information Technology, Health Informatics, MEDITECH EHR, and Health Information Management (HIM) for Lincoln Surgical Hospital, Nebraska Surgery Center, Nebraska Orthopaedic Surgery Center, Eye Surgical Associates and Sutton Dermatology + Aesthetics.

In this role you will accountable for establishing organizational priorities, coordinating cross-functional efforts, directing departmental leadership, and ensuring enterprise-wide integration among technology, clinical operations, revenue cycle functions, data governance, and compliance activities. The Leader operates through department directors and management teams, maintaining oversight of performance, resource allocation, strategic planning, and operational effectiveness across the continuum of care.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities, with expertise in organizational governance, change management, and financial stewardship. Success in this role requires the ability to build and maintain effective physician relationships, drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance and information governance, foster cross-functional collaboration, manage vendor partnerships, and lead performance management initiatives that support organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related experience.
• Progressive healthcare leadership experience with responsibility for strategic planning, departmental oversight, and organizational operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple functional areas through subordinate directors or management-level leaders.
• Experience overseeing healthcare technology, informatics, health information management, or enterprise clinical systems within a hospital, ambulatory surgery center, or integrated healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, clinical operations, information governance, and technology strategy.
• Experience with MEDITECH or comparable enterprise electronic health record platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Health Informatics, or related field.
• Leadership experience in an acute care hospital, surgical hospital, or integrated healthcare delivery system.
• Clinical background with demonstrated healthcare operational leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation, enterprise technology governance, and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
