- Label specimens accurately and ensure proper handling and transportation.
- Follow infection control, safety, and universal precautions.
- Communicate professionally with patients and help them feel comfortable.
- Complete collection paperwork and electronic documentation.
- Maintain phlebotomy supplies and keep equipment clean and organized.
- Follow scheduled appointments and prioritize STAT or time-sensitive collections.
- Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
