Original job description

Douglas Adams once said, "Technology is a word that describes something that doesn't work yet." Funny, because it's true. So much so that it sparked our unrelenting mission to increase the positive impact of technology on people's lives. From robot vacuums and voice assistants to banking apps, smart toys, and backyard grills, Centercode has helped shape countless products in virtually every household, and chances are good we've impacted your life already. We're full of people who take pride in striving toward our goals and having a blast while doing it. We're always on the lookout for enthusiastic, like-minded people to join us in making everyday life better through technology. As a Growth Marketing & Sales Development Manager, you'll help turn Centercode's story into qualified buyer conversations. That means following up with people who engage with us, researching potential customers, and testing practical ways to reach product, research, and CX leaders. You'll speak with prospects yourself, learn what matters to them, and work with Sales to turn relevant interest into opportunities. Drawing on our established product expertise, customer relationships, and tools, your focus will be developing a repeatable way to create new conversations. In collaboration with product marketing, Sales, and leadership, you'll choose focused experiments with the team, carry them through, and refine them based on buyer response. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building an approach and engaging with people directly.

What you'll get: ownership of prospect engagement for a new product, access to leadership and product expertise, and room to propose and test ideas within an agreed budget. What you'll do as a Growth Marketing & Sales Development Manager Target accounts

  • Understand the target audience for Centercode's products and speak their language across channels
  • Refine our target-account model: which companies, which buying teams, and which signals mean they're ready to talk
  • Research potential customers and identify the right contacts within target accounts
  • Shape and commit to the target list and priorities with Sales every quarter

Campaigns

  • Test focused ways to reach buyers, including personal outreach, introductions, existing contacts, and small campaigns
  • Engage one-on-one with prospects and leads who could open new doors
  • Work with product marketing to turn product positioning into relevant invitations, messages, and materials for specific buyers
  • Organize events and meet-ups, build attendance, and provide follow-on engagement leading to opportunity generation
  • Propose new activities where there is a clear buyer opportunity, and spearhead their development

Routing and measurement

  • Respond promptly to inquiries and engaged contacts, and hold initial qualification conversations
  • Partner with AE and Solutions Consultant to set appropriate next steps, recording ownership and follow-through in HubSpot
  • Track engagement sources, qualified opportunities accepted by Sales, and progression toward revenue in HubSpot to enable data-driven decisions
  • Meet your sourced pipeline goal each quarter, reported jointly with Sales

Learning and building

  • Document what works, including messaging, channels, and outreach approaches
  • Turn buyer conversations into insights for messaging, positioning, and the product roadmap
  • Put AI agents to work on research, content variants, and campaign operations, reviewing what they produce
  • Work cross-functionally to optimize our tool stack, and propose new tools or outside help when an experiment justifies them

What you need to do the job Experience and skills

  • Experience personally creating B2B buyer conversations through marketing, sales, or business development, including building programs for a sales-led company with deals of $25K+ ACV
  • Mastery of targeted outreach and engagement, backed by real examples (how you chose prospects, what you tried, and what converted)
  • Practical use of HubSpot or a comparable CRM to manage contacts, follow-up, source tracking, and clear handoffs
  • Strong writing skills that earn responses across outreach, invitations, and follow-ups
  • Confidence talking with prospective customers, asking relevant questions, and securing an appropriate next step
  • Ability to run a focused experiment within an agreed budget and explain its results and next steps clearly
  • Hands-on AI skills for account research, message development, and follow-up, with output you can verify and explain

Mindsets and traits

  • Eager to experiment and motivated by a directional goal without a detailed playbook
  • Self-driven to take initiative toward goals
  • Diligent about follow-through, closing the loop with Sales on every lead
  • Curious about how product teams build and test
  • Comfortable stopping a program that isn't working

  • Involvement with a product launch at an established company
  • Familiarity with consumer electronics or connected hardware buyers
