We believe, and research shows, that student and stakeholder feedback matters for school improvement and student success. That’s why, in 2008, we created YouthTruth – to help educators harness student and stakeholder feedback to accelerate improvements. We’ve heard from almost three million students as well as hundreds of thousands of family and staff members across 39 states. When you join YouthTruth, you join a small and collaborative team that has a big impact on schools across the U.S. and the education sector.
YouthTruth’s Data Systems and Analytics team owns our survey and reporting products from end to end. As an Analyst, you will help build and maintain this product suite, using software tools to turn student survey results into accurate, timely reports that help educators improve. - You have a deep interest in and passion for education, and a belief in student voice as a powerful tool to make important changes in education.
- You learn new tools, systems, and skills quickly, and you're curious about how AI tools can make work faster and better, while bringing the judgment to verify their output and know when not to use them.
- You notice where a process breaks down or a product falls short, and you enjoy finding ways to improve it.
- You are flexible, adaptable, and reliable in a fast-paced environment.
- You are able to manage multiple priorities and timelines simultaneously.
- Your interpersonal and communication skills allow you to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization as well as with clients and external contacts, including explaining data clearly to non-technical audiences.
- You enjoy using data to tell clear, compelling stories, and you're excited to help shape the data visualizations and tools we offer clients.
What You’ll Do:
You will work closely with YouthTruth's energetic and diverse staff to deliver our survey and reporting products to district leaders and school principals, giving them data-driven insights to enhance their effectiveness. More specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:

- Help refine survey instruments and reports, and contribute to new product development to meet school and district needs
- Document processes and contribute to the team's playbooks and internal knowledge base
Other (10%)
- Track and analyze internal product and operational metrics, such as delivery timelines, quality, and client usage, to inform team decisions
- Provide insights and analysis for strategic projects, marketing efforts, and internal research

- Experience using AI tools (such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot) in your work or studies, and an understanding of their limitations, including accuracy and data privacy considerations
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to remain flexible in response to the business needs of a rapidly growing team
- A work ethic consistent with the CEP/YouthTruth organizational culture: thoughtful; committed to client confidentiality and responsible data use; builds equity and inclusion into the substance of their work.
While all CEP staff are at-will employees, due to an in-depth training period at the start of every Analyst’s tenure, our expectation is that analysts will stay in the role for a minimum of two years, assuming satisfactory performance.

Once a candidate begins our process, we discourage outreach to our staff for interviews or conversations that are outside our standard interview process. We have worked hard to design a process that is fair and rigorous and achieves a good match between candidates and CEP/YouthTruth.
We evaluate candidates based on their merits. We strongly discourage unsolicited references. We will ask for references if and when a candidate reaches a finalist stage.
