CNC ProtoTrak Machinist

C.E.D. Services Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC ProtoTRAK Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist who is comfortable setting up, programming, and operating ProtoTRAK-controlled mills with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be able to work from engineering drawings, determine the proper machining process, set up their own jobs, and produce high-quality precision components while maintaining tight tolerances. Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate ProtoTRAK CNC Bridgeport Mills Program parts directly at the machine using the ProtoTRAK control Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing instructions Determine proper tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining sequences t Perform complete machine setups, including fixtures, workholding, and tooling Verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment Work to close tolerances and ensure parts meet drawing requirements Make offsets and program adjustments as necessary to maintain part quality Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and dimensional issues Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Accurately record labor and job time on work orders Follow company quality procedures and manufacturing standards
