Original job description

Project Coordinator- Part Time Temporary (Remote)

Our Organization

CDP, a Boston-based public benefit corporation, uses the collaborative fundraising model to improve the operational efficiency and revenue generation capacity of the public media system. CDP currently provides more than 230 NPR and PBS public media organizations (PMOs) with outsourced marketing, data analytics, fundraising, and technology services. These services help PMOs raise more net income, grow their donor files faster, lower their fundraising costs, and free up development talent allowing stations to better focus on local engagement. Since its inception, CDP has delivered more than $1 billion in membership revenue for local PMOs participating in its services and has become the most widely adopted Public Media service in the history of public broadcasting. Just as CDP is committed to supporting public media organizations around the country, we are equally committed to supporting each of our team in their own professional development. Role Overview The Enterprise Project Management Office is seeking a Temporary, Part-Time Project Coordinator to join our Client Onboarding Team and gain hands-on experience supporting real-world client implementations. You’ll be part of the team helping public media stations onboard to CDP’s Member Services Bureau (MSB), working alongside senior project managers and cross-functional teams to turn plans into progress. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the implementation lifecycle by coordinating meetings, tracking deliverables, maintaining project materials, initiating requests, and helping teams stay aligned and moving forward. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to grow their project management experience in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. You’ll learn how cross-functional projects come together, build practical project coordination skills, and see firsthand how organization, communication, and follow-through contribute to successful client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and communicate project progress, track deliverables and dependencies, and follow up with team members to help keep activities on schedule.
  • Prepare and maintain project reports, dashboards, and status updates by gathering information from project plans and other systems to provide visibility into implementation progress.
  • Submit and monitor support cases and internal requests on behalf of clients and project teams.
  • Monitor outstanding deliverables; follow up with owners and escalate delays, blockers, risks, or schedule concerns to the Senior Project Manager as needed.

Meeting & Communication Support

  • Schedule and coordinate internal project meetings and client status calls.
  • Prepare agendas, capture meeting notes and decisions, and document action items and owners.
  • Distribute meeting summaries and follow up on action items to support timely completion.
  • Support clear, timely, and consistent communication with project teams, stakeholders, and clients regarding milestones, deliverables, and next steps.

Documentation, Reporting & Process Support

  • Maintain project templates, implementation materials, reports, and records, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and current.
  • Organize, version, and upload standard project materials, including guidance documents, workbooks, presentations, and client deliverables.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to strengthen project documentation, templates, and coordination processes.

Responsibilities may evolve as team needs and business priorities change, while also reflecting the employee’s demonstrated strengths, experience, and continued development.

Qualifications & Success Profile

  • 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, project management support, client services, operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to maintaining accurate project information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing project needs, and consistently follow through on responsibilities.
  • Proactive and accountable, with sound judgment around when to raise questions or escalate concerns.
  • Comfortable working independently while supporting senior project managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with project management platforms such as Smartsheet, Asana, monday.com, Microsoft Project, or Jira preferred.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and is eager to build practical project management experience.
