About CBRE and Experience Services

CBRE is the world's largest commercial real estate services firm. Experience by Industrious is CBRE’s global hospitality business that partners with leading companies and landlords to design and operate workplaces people love coming to. We treat the daily experience of work as a product worth obsessing over, and we build our teams with people who feel the same way.

About the Role

The Day porter keeps spaces clean, stocked, and presentation-ready that makes a building feel cared for. You own the presentation of the workplace throughout the day. At heart this is a hospitality role. The person in it shapes how a space feels the moment someone walks in the lobby that is spotless, the meeting room that is reset and ready, the coffee station that is never empty. Done well, it is invisible. Done poorly, everyone feels it. You will be successful in this role when you keep lobbies, common areas, and amenity spaces clean and stocked, reset meeting rooms before they are needed, and handle problems before anyone has to report them.

What You'll Do

Presentation & Cleanliness

‒ Clean and stock lobbies, common areas, and amenity spaces so employees and visitors walk into a building that is ready for them.

‒ Respond to spills and issues immediately to remove hazards and keep the space safe for everyone using it.

‒ Conduct routine floor walks to identify and correct cleanliness issues before occupants have to report them.

Spaces & Events

‒ Reset meeting rooms between uses so the next group can start on time.

‒ Set up and break down catering and event spaces according to the event schedule and setup requirements.

Maintenance & Response

‒ Identify and report maintenance issues and follow up with facilities to confirm repairs are completed.

‒ Respond to occupant service requests and coordinate with facilities teams and vendors so issues are resolved quickly.

This Role Is a Good Fit If You

‒Have eagle eyes for the details: you're the first to notice the smudge on the glass coffee table, pushing in the conference room chair for the 1,000th time, or wiping down the whiteboard before anyone else notices.

‒ Prefer being on your feet most of the day. You get energy from moving around, instead of sitting behind a desk.

‒ Take immense pride in doing things to your own high standard, even when no one's looking.

What You Need

‒ Ability to follow established routines and quality standards consistently.

‒ Communication skills to exchange information clearly and courteously.

‒ Physically able to be on your feet, move through the building, and handle the demands of the role.

‒ Strong preference for experience in a corporate, hotel, or premium-service environment, familiarity with

meeting-room resets, catering setup, or event support, and comfort spotting and reporting maintenance issues.
