Summary:

Provides adequate supervision within a defined shift. Provides technical expertise and guidance for the section; assists the Technical Director in the consolidation and standardization of laboratory testing. Acts as liaison for the Laboratory and Nursing & Medical staffs. Acting as the Quality Systems Manager for a specific site or area of responsibility, performs and documents QA activities as defined by Laboratory Administrative and Medical Leadership.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

·M.S. or M.A. or B.S. or B.A. degree

·NYS Licensure required

·MT (ASCP) registered/eligible or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

·M.S. or M.A. - Two (2) years of clinical laboratory work subsequent to graduation

·B.S or B.A. - Four (4) years of clinical laboratory work subsequent to graduation
