Junior Operations Buyer / Planner

Position Summary We are seeking a Junior Operations Buyer / Planner to support our manufacturing operations by coordinating purchasing, planning, scheduling, and inventory activities. In this entry level role, you will ensure that materials are available when needed, production schedules are maintained, and customer delivery expectations are met. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their career within supply chain and operations.

What You’ll Do:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. · Plan and coordinate electrode packing schedules for the Pack Line, including bulk material allocation and inventory management. · Plan, purchase, and track electrodes, flux, MRO supplies, and other materials to support production and inventory requirements. · Create, issue, maintain, and expedite purchase orders; follow up on open orders, back orders, and supplier deliveries. · Provide accurate estimated delivery dates and order updates to internal stakeholders, including Customer Service, Purchasing, and Operations teams. · Monitor inventory levels and recommend opportunities for process improvement and inventory reduction. · Maintain accurate purchasing records, item master data, and related information within the ERP system. · Prepare and distribute reports on production status, inventory, purchasing activities, and performance metrics. · Serve as backup for production order closure and key purchasing responsibilities during management absences. · Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

· Minimum of 1 year of related experience within the supply chain field, preferred · High School diploma required · Associate’s Degree preferred · Experience working with an MRP system · Proficient with MS Excel · Motivated self-starter · Interpersonal skills · Team player
