Original job description
Description IMPACT - Grow our reach. Build the relationships that bring care home. You’ll own the growth of Caring for Others’ referral network, building trusted relationships with case managers, discharge planners, hospice teams, brokers, and community organizations across multiple Oregon markets and turning those connections into new Private Pay, LTCI, and VA Clients. Serving as the Company’s ambassador in the community, you’ll manage the full pipeline from first introduction to signed client while keeping every step compliant with Oregon Administrative Rules and Federal and State law. This is a field-based role with regular travel across our service markets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Travel regularly across multiple markets to build trust with community referral sources, including APD Case Managers, Social Workers, Nursing Facilities, VA Case Managers, Hospital Discharge Planners, Hospice Administrators, Urgent/Emergency Care Physicians, Insurance Brokers, Attorneys, and Real Estate Agents
- Represent the Company at community organizations such as Senior Brokers, Rotary, and the Chamber of Commerce, networking to open new revenue streams
- Lead expansion efforts focused on a healthy, diversified payor mix with an emphasis on private pay growth
- Create and maintain a growth pipeline for new Private Pay, LTCI, and VA Clients; carefully track leads and referral activity in the CRM and Care Management Platform
- Secure Client Services Authorizations and track expirations to ensure all billed hours are collectable; manage relationships with Prospect and Current Clients and their families
- Conduct competitive market research, stay active in industry associations and conferences, and translate regulatory and market insights into strategies that drive growth and competitive positioning
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience in business development, sales, community outreach, or referral relationship management, ideally in home care, senior services, or healthcare
- A natural relationship-builder who is comfortable networking, presenting, and earning trust in the community
- Results-driven ownership of a pipeline, with disciplined lead tracking, documentation, and follow-through
- Working knowledge of (or eagerness to learn) Private Pay, LTCI, and VA funding and the Oregon regulatory environment
- Ability to manage multiple markets, priorities, and deadlines independently, with regular travel
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
