Cargo Express Freight is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Operations Specialist – Transportation to join our growing team in Dallas, TX. Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily freight transportation operations to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, and customers to manage shipment status and resolve issues
• Monitor load tracking systems and update shipment records in the TMS (Transportation Management System)
• Assist in dispatching and routing of drivers and freight loads
• Identify and resolve operational delays, disruptions, or exceptions in real time
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Collaborate with internal teams including sales, billing, and customer service to support seamless operations

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in transportation, freight, or logistics operations
• Familiarity with TMS platforms, load boards, and freight tracking tools
• Strong knowledge of carrier networks, LTL/FTL shipping, and supply chain processes
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred
