About the Job We're looking for a patient, encouraging tutor to help our 3rd-grade daughter build her writing skills. She's a strong reader and loves books, so we want to channel that strength into confident, clear writing.
Responsibilities
- Teach sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and spelling at a 3rd-grade level
- Guide her through paragraph writing (topic sentence, details, conclusion)
- Practice narrative, informational, and opinion writing
- Help her use ideas and vocabulary from her reading in her own writing
- Build handwriting and editing habits, such as rereading and revising
- Make writing fun with games, prompts, and creative projects
