About the Job Job Summary
Seeking a compassionate tutor/teacher for a kind, curious, nonspeaking autistic 9-year-old in Long Beach. Focus areas include literacy, math, communication, spelling, functional learning, and adaptive daily-living skills. Position begins at 6-10 flexible hours per week.
Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one instruction using visual, hands-on, and multisensory supports. Model AAC use; support attention, regulation, motor planning, and executive functioning; build academic, real-world, and independent living skills; plan engaging lessons; track progress; and collaborate with family and providers.
Qualifications
Experience with autistic or neurodivergent children and knowledge of AAC preferred. Ideal for someone with a BCBA, RBT, OT, SLP, or SPED background, including students in these fields, but credentials are not required.Job basics How often: Part timeHourly rate: $25.00 - $35.00/hourWho we're looking for
