About the Job Looking for a compassionate caregiver for 80-year-old who is recovering at home after a 2-week hospital stay following intestinal surgery and an aortic dissection. She was previously living independently but now needs hands-on support and has some cognitive decline.
We need someone experienced with senior care who can help with monitoring blood pressure and heart rate, managing/keeping track of medications, showering, bathroom assistance, dressing, meals, mobility, and safety. Help remembering appointments and maintaining a daily routine is also important.
Ideally, help in the morning and evening - getting her up, taking vitals, medications, breakfast, showering/dressing, and starting her day, plus an evening visit for dinner, medications, and getting ready for bed.
Her needs will likely become less intensive as she recovers, but finding someone interested in ongoing care as her needs evolve. Candidate is someone patient, attentive, reliable, and comfortable communicating with family.
