About the Job We are looking for someone who is patient, and preferably has personal or professional experience working with an individual with dementia. We want someone who can help us keep our grandmother/mother safe while as well as do some tasks around the house like prepare or serve her meals to make sure she eats and assist her with bathing. We need someone willing to go for walks with her, shop with her at the store, or cook with her so she has supervision. We want to make the most of the time she has left with some of her memory.

Before getting diagnosed with dementia cooking and knitting were her favorite hobbies. Part of the reason we are seeking a care giver is to provide companionship and keep her going during the day, now that she is showing clear signs of dementia she typically spends her days just laying down watching TV

We need someone willing to go for walks with her, shop with her at the store, or cook with her so she has supervision. We want to make the most of the time she has left with some of her memory.

Ample street parking in the area as well as parking available in the library parking lot across the street with no permit required

No pets, just the patient and her adult son live in the home.

The supermarket she shops at is located right next door to her building, taking her out can remain very local and within walking distance from her residence. We want to get her outside more during the day in a familiar area to avoid her being alone, stuck at home, and just engaging in screen time.Job basics How often: Part timeHourly rate: $17.00 - $30.00/hourWho we're looking for
