Alz Respite Caregiver Support Needed

About the Job I'm looking to hire caregiver support for my aging parents. My father is 70-year-old father with Alzheimer's and my mother is a full time caretaker for him and we would like to introduce some professional care, starting one day per week with the hope that it would increase over time to several days per week. My father is still able to independently do many things such as taking the dog for daily walks but struggles with speaking, cooking for himself, and doing other brain activities/entertainment. We would like someone who has experience working with and engaging people living with Alzheimer's. My mother could use some support / a break one day a week so she can have time to excessive and see friends and get support with cooking and light cleaning like vacuuming, dusting, dishes, cooking, and meal prep. My parents have a 10-year-old golden retriever who is very friendly and quiet.

An ideal day could include engaging my father in conversation / storytelling, looking at books together or reading out loud, cooking lunch and prepping dinner food, and some light house cleaning while my dad is napping.

Walking the dog, playing tennis, riding bikes, sometimes going for runs.

We will be looking for experience working with Alzheimer's patients and look for folks who are willing to share prior employment references.

To get to our home, you can drive and park (free street parking or parking behind the house in the alley) or you can walk from nearby bus and train stops.
