Senior Manager, Full-Stack Engineer (Java | JavaScript | Typescript | AWS)

Do you love building and pioneering in the technology space? Do you enjoy solving complex business problems in a fast-paced, collaborative, inclusive and iterative delivery environment?

At Capital One, you'll be part of a big group of makers, breakers, doers and disruptors who solve real problems and meet real customer needs. We are seeking Full-stack Software Engineering leaders who are passionate about building high-performing teams, driving technical strategy and leveraging cutting-edge open-source frameworks alongside emerging technologies. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of mentoring engineering talent and leading major technology transformations across Capital One.

Join the Navigator Platform Team at Capital One and help revolutionize the fintech landscape by enhancing our industry-leading Auto Navigator and Lead Navigator platforms. In this dynamic environment, you will leverage cutting-edge technology to streamline auto financing and lead management, directly impacting the car-buying experience for millions. By spearheading these intuitive, customer-centric solutions, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving technological advancements that make our processes more efficient and accessible.

The Navigator Platform Team seeks a collaborative, highly empathetic team member who actively listens to stakeholder needs, applies emotional intelligence to build trust and drives business decisions grounded in customer impact.

What You’ll Do:

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code
Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
Lead teams utilizing programming languages like Java, JavaScript and TypeScript, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services
Lead multiple Agile engineering teams or programs, providing strategic direction and ensuring delivery of large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
Partner with product, architecture, and platform leaders to define multi-year technology roadmaps and investment priorities
Develop and manage Lead Engineers and leads, building succession plans and scaling leadership capability across teams
Drive alignment between engineering execution and enterprise goals, influencing portfolio-level decisions and trade-offs
Drive end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale, distributed, or cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements

This role is designated as a hybrid position. You are expected to adhere to Capital One's hybrid policy regarding required on-site presence at your designated office location.
