The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Web Developer to support and modernize a portfolio of 100+ web applications for a government customer. The ideal candidate takes ownership of complex development efforts, evaluates technical options, and delivers reliable solutions using C#/.NET, HTML5, JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS, SQL, and AWS. Responsibilities span requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, integrations, and application modernization. The developer will collaborate with technical teams and customers while thoughtfully applying AI-assisted tools, such as Roo Code, to coding, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and code review.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain web-based applications, including custom, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions.
  • Collaborate with analysts, UI/UX developers, subject-matter experts, and technical teams to translate requirements into effective solutions.
  • Estimate development efforts and evaluate technical feasibility, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and operational impacts.
  • Develop technical specifications, application designs, maintainable code, APIs, integrations, data-conversion routines, and SQL-based solutions.
  • Use AWS services and related cloud technologies to design, develop, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support cloud-based applications.
  • Follow configuration management, change control, security, documentation, quality assurance, and release standards while recommending improvements.
  • Conduct unit and formal testing; diagnose complex defects using code, logs, data, and system dependencies; coordinate resolution before production release.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve application performance, usability, security, scalability, resiliency, and long-term maintainability. Provide technical input on decisions affecting projects and teams.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant web development or software development experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, enhancing, testing, and supporting web applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, C#/.NET, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience using AWS services to develop, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support cloud-based or cloud-native applications.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, web development principles, software-development practices, coding standards, and application security.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues, evaluate impacts and dependencies, and develop effective solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to estimate development efforts, manage competing priorities, and support complex projects in a dynamic team environment.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership of tasks, exercise sound technical judgment, and contribute to project and team objectives.

Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • AWS certification, such as AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
  • Experience developing software with Python.
  • Experience contributing to application architecture, system integration, modernization, or cloud-migration efforts.
  • Experience with containerized or serverless applications and AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, RDS, or CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with Agile software-development methodologies and practices.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, or code review.
  • Experience supporting applications in Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) environments.
  • Experience developing responsive, accessible web applications and applying Section 508 requirements.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
