In this role, you will assess technical and analytical outputs, provide expert recommendations to U.S. Government stakeholders, and help advance understanding of emerging foreign UAS capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities. As a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Analyst, you will serve as a key technical advisor, supporting engineering analysis, technical assessments, quality assurance efforts, and strategic decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to apply aerospace engineering expertise in a highly analytical environment where your work directly contributes to mission success and informed government decision-making

Responsibilities:

  • Assess UAS-related analytical products and provide observations, recommendations, and feedback to U.S. Government customers through established contract management processes.
  • Research, evaluate, and exploit key data sources to assess the capabilities of foreign UAV and UAS platforms.
  • Develop analytical assessments of foreign system technologies, combat environments, concepts of operation, tactics, intentions, capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for technical coordination and quality assurance activities supporting work performed at the client's facility.
  • Perform technical reviews of detailed analytical reports and support the development of market research products and supporting documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations that improve the likelihood of program and system success.
  • Conduct engineering analysis and characterization of foreign fixed-wing Unmanned Aircraft Systems, including:
  • System design and sub-technologies
  • Aerodynamic properties
  • Flight performance characteristics (e.g., range, endurance, payload)
  • Tactical effectiveness
  • Predict future system capabilities and effectiveness based on modifications, upgrades, or evolutionary changes.
  • Identify vulnerabilities that may support exploitation opportunities and threat mitigation strategies for U.S. materiel solutions.
  • Support decision advantage across multiple threshold and objective requirements, including Detect & Identify, Track, and Defeat mission areas.
  • Increase threat characterization, signature development, and dissemination throughput to address known and anticipated intelligence gaps.
  • Evaluate technical omissions, discrepancies, and reliability within all-source information by applying engineering principles, known technical constraints, and foreign technology assessments.
  • Analyze foreign equipment characteristics, research and development activities, and production capabilities to support technical intelligence assessments.
  • Produce analytical products in coordination with project and program leadership.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience serving in a technical analytical role supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs or projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desired:

  • Ability to conduct analysis and produce comprehensive technical assessments that include independent research and technical writing.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate.
  • All-source intelligence analysis experience.
  • U.S. military experience.
  • Demonstrated capability producing analytic assessments.
  • Demonstrated capability producing analytic assessments with experience in unmanned aerial systems.
