The Opportunity:
CACI is looking to add a Program Manager to support the Program Management Office (PMO) in the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of customer programs and internal business initiatives.
This role is designed for a program management professional who is highly organized, analytical, collaborative, and eager to develop expertise in managing complex programs within a government-focused technology value-added reseller.
The Program Manager will work closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Contracts, OEM/technology partners, and customers to ensure programs progress according to established schedules, requirements, and business objectives.
The role will also contribute to the PMO's broader efforts to standardize processes, improve reporting, increase operational efficiency, and build a scalable program management organization.
Responsibilities:
Program Execution & Coordination
- Support Program Managers in the planning and execution of customer programs and internal initiatives.
- Maintain program schedules, action-item logs, milestone trackers, and project documentation.
- Coordinate meetings, establish agendas, document decisions, and track follow-up actions.
- Monitor program milestones and proactively identify schedule risks or dependencies.
- Follow up with stakeholders to ensure commitments and deliverables remain on track.
- Assist with identifying and escalating issues that may affect program performance.
- Support program closeout activities and capture lessons learned.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate activities across Sales, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Contracts, and other business functions.
- Support effective handoffs between quoting, order placement, fulfillment, delivery, invoicing, and program closeout.
- Help ensure stakeholders understand program requirements, timelines, responsibilities, and dependencies.
- Maintain clear and timely communication across internal teams and external partners.
- Support coordination with OEMs, distributors, and other technology partners as required.
Program Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain accurate program status reports, dashboards, and performance trackers.
- Collect and consolidate program data from multiple functional teams.
- Track key metrics including milestones, orders, deliveries, revenue, gross profit, risks, issues, and customer commitments.
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly program reporting for Program Managers and PMO leadership.
- Identify data inconsistencies and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Develop an understanding of how operational activities impact financial and business outcomes.
Risk & Issue Management
- Maintain program risk, issue, action, and dependency logs.
- Monitor open issues and follow up with responsible stakeholders.
- Escalate emerging risks to the appropriate Program Manager.
- Support the development and tracking of corrective-action plans.
- Help identify recurring issues and opportunities for process improvement.
Process Improvement
- Support the PMO in documenting and standardizing program management processes.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve workflows, and eliminate unnecessary administrative activities.
- Participate in process-improvement and automation initiatives.
- Help maintain PMO templates, tools, procedures, and knowledge repositories.
- Capture lessons learned and identify opportunities to improve future program execution.
Customer & Partner Support
- Support Program Managers in maintaining effective customer and partner communications.
- Prepare program updates, meeting materials, status reports, and other customer-facing documentation.
- Assist with tracking customer commitments and deliverables.
- Support coordination with OEMs and distributors to resolve operational issues and maintain delivery schedules.
- Develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
PMO Development & Organizational Transformation
- Participate in initiatives designed to strengthen the PMO's processes, tools, capabilities, and operating model.
- Adopt and consistently apply PMO standards and methodologies.
- Provide feedback on processes and tools that could improve team effectiveness.
- Participate in training and professional development activities designed to build program management capabilities.
- Progressively take ownership of increasingly complex programs and responsibilities.
Development Expectations
The Program Manager role is intended to be a developmental position within the PMO career path. Within the first 12–24 months, the successful employee should demonstrate increasing ability to:
- Independently manage defined workstreams.
- Lead recurring program meetings.
- Maintain accurate program schedules and reporting.
- Identify and communicate risks before they become issues.
- Coordinate effectively across multiple functional teams.
- Understand program financial and operational drivers.
- Manage smaller projects or programs with limited supervision.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Recommend process improvements rather than simply following existing processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in project management, program coordination, business operations, sales operations, supply chain, technology, or a related field preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working across multiple functional teams and stakeholders.
